Energy – 2 Bns€

• Full P&L responsibility for 1 BU (320 m€): Margin approval, budget, closing, reporting, auditors’ relationship, business partner to BU leader.
• Further new matrix organisation and creation of EUROPE region in 2017 :
  • built up the project control community (46 people) who covered, under my leadership, project controlling (SAP) for all projects (5BUs) in Europe.
  • Define and follow relevant KPI’s to centrally manage the project portfolio (billings, past due , retention, differed charges… )
  • Standardize the process & Tools within the region (warranty provision, labour rate…)
• Strong involvement in key projects at risk : Approve all deviations above 100K$, follow the key claims to subcontractors and main variation orders to clients for profit recovery
• Successful transformation leader for IFRS to US GAAP revenue recognition change : 1 year transverse project implying operations, sourcing, IT, procurement, factories to anticipate and get ready for this big bang change impacting revenue starting Jan 18.

Energy – 500 m€

• P&L responsibility for 1 BU (150 m€) ∙ Further SAP migration in Indonesia by end of 2013 : identification of 3 m€ unallocated balance sheet :
  • built-up a 6 months task force including the local finance team, 3 external auditors and myself to redefine all balance sheet positions for the 80 projects in portfolio
  • endly booked ~3 m€ loss while completed and fully justified.
  • rebuilt the confidence of Indonesian operation team in finance figures
• Successful team development of 11 people in 6 countries. Reinforce the finance role vis-à-vis the operation team. Handover to local team while leaving

• Fully involved in the strategic Swedish HVDC project (240 m€ Sales)
• Lead all decisions regarding financial strategy & results. (6 countries, large & complex) Set-up a specific transverse Delegation of Authority for this project
• Risk management : define each quarter the relevant level of risk provisions with the support of the whole team (engineering, R&D, planning, procurement…)
• Cash management : Negotiation with the project leader to convince the client to pay down payments before year end on some late milestones. Collection of 24 m€ out of 36 m€ slipping milestones against dedicated bonds

• Team of 5 experts. Write the processes.
• Work on Alstom integration : Tool mapping, process gap, priority definition, action plan
• Develop internal tools with support of IT team :
  • to follow the bank accounts opening, signatories & closure
  • to manage the commodities hedging (Copper, Aluminium), follow the quantity and the related projects for each BU. Support to justify the accounting scheme
• Politic risk insurance (2m€) negotiation

Petrochemicals - 180 m€

• Lead the budget process. Address the dashboard to the shareholders
• Covenants calculation & forecast with very tight headroom. Close follow-up of debt withdrawn. Waiver request. Swap set-up and hedging to cover interest rate & forex risks
• Manage worldwide deployment of treasury tool from scratch : RFQ definition, then choice of Kyriba and final set up in 6 countries to obtain a daily consolidated cash position

Utilities - 1.4 Bns€

• Bank Relationship & overall banking term negotiation implying new stakeholders
• Investment of 500 m€ excess liquidity
• Covenants forecast & calculation.

Construction

• Manage a team of 4 treasurers : Cash pooling set-up. Forex hedging. Bonds
• TIP contract (600 K€) related to client cash collection with a new subcontractor : both cost reduction and improvement of the quality and delay of customer invoice clearance owing to this new partnership
