CFO scale-up / start-up / LBO

Interim CFO for a family office with €4bn under management, including portfolio companies, funds and direct investments

Consolidation and scale-up of all back-office functions (Finance, HR, IT, administration).

Preparation of LMBO to support growth strategy, securing of debt financing

Building 5 year BP and annual budget. Leading the execution of recruitment action at all levels (associate to partner). Contribution to definition and standardization of internal product / methodology.

Overseeing group finance operations (400 FTE across France and Italy), including accounting, management reporting, treasury, iterative budget process, partnering with the business for routine operations.

Building cash flow forecasting process, with special focus on relationship with factoring provider, cash collection anc cost rationalization. Onboarding the incoming finance team (VP Finance, FD France, FP&A and credit team.

Coordinating work with equity and debt investors (preparation of financing round, new debt financing)

Interim FD for a business segment (carve-out / divestiture) – RWE’s acquisition of Nordex’ wind and solar project pipeline (value EUR 400MM, 80 employees, 60+ SPVs).

Delivery of TSA/ transitional services agreement (Accounting/tax/reporting/IT/ HR/procurement); single point of contact between the buyer and the seller post carve-out; setting up and supervision of financial accounting after completion of the sale (SAP R3 environment); definition and implementation of basic P2P principles and treasury controls; implementation of quarterly IFRS financial reporting to meet acquirer’s standards; French local audit and tax filings.

Leading operational finance projects for Nordex France: roll-out of incoming vendor invoices workflow in SAP (xFlow) and phase-out of legacy solution; implementation of finance processes for a newly created Belgian business organization

Overseeing finance operations for all businesses and brands grouped in the BU (15+ entities, 9 countries, 2 major business lines). Combined P&L responsibility of EUR 50-100MM. Matrix reporting to the GM of BU and to Europcar Group CFO.

Leading a diverse international team of 30 professionals: HQ, regional finance teams, shared services center (SSC).

IP’s EMEA operations: $3 bn in annual sales across 10 countries and 30 manufacturing facilities, corporate functions and an SSC. NYSE-listed group, SOX compliant environment, US GAAP reporting

Key mission: supporting EMEA division senior management through definition and execution of internal audit strategy, assessment of quality and efficiency of internal controls, identification of operational and financial control deficiencies, fraud prevention, advising on process improvement opportunities

Supervisor and on-the-job development responsibilities for a team of 5 auditors. Reporting to EMEA Audit Director. Participant to the US corporate leadership development program.

Led and executed audit projects through roles of increasing responsibility, serving diverse client portfolio in manufacturing, mining, telecom, business services financial services industries. Gained significant exposure to operations in emerging markets. Managing project teams.
