Since beginning of 2021 we signed a framework agreement with NV BESIX SA in order to assist the International Business Unit on an ad-hoc basis and focusing on the following subjects : * Set up of Pre project finance and support services department by designing the operational processes and organization required. * Resolution of issues related to finance and support services for running international projects. * Finance and support services teams, recruitment enhancement and coaching Key achievements: Induction program for new project F&A Managers - Resolution of a complex financial issue in Equatorial Guinea. Support to F&A Manager in Ivory Coast and Cameroun. 15 MONTHS : Civil Engineering Project - GBN-CCN JV - www.nachtigal-hpc.com Working part time for the partnership between NGE-SGTM-BESIX who is taking part in developing the Nachtigal hydro-electric project in Cameroon. The works consist of designing and building a 1.5 km long, 14 m high dam wall, a 3 km+ supply canal, and the civil engineering work for the hydro-electric plant. The civil works budget is around 400 million Euros over a period of 4 years and will employ +/- 2.000 employees. I was appointed to assist the JV Finance and Administration team in the improvement of its organization and working processes. Key achievements: F&A Organization restructure - Cost Control set up and enhancement - Fixed Assets management improvement - Project Cash Flow Forecast - Financing scheme set up - Intercompany process improvement. |

At that time the company was a leading provider of mobile services in developing country (Latin America, Asia and Africa). The actual well known commercial brand of Millicom is TIGO. I was appointed as CFO of the Senegal subsidiary who was experiencing double digit growth every year. Out of the usual tasks of a CFO the major challenge was to refinance a 40 MUS corporate loan and to allow the subsidiary to self-finance its growth. Key achievements: Negotiation of a 60 MUSD bond loan on the west Africa Market - Negotiation of a new interconnection agreement with the government - Leading the SOX 404 implementation project. |

I had the chance to join the wires and electronics division focusing on the challenging Dacia project in Romania. The Dacia brand was newly purchased by Renault - Nissan Group and the aim was to build a car costing less than 5.000 EUR for the developing market. We were providing all the electrical wires of the car. We had to start the subsidiary from scratch and I was in charge of all the finance, legal, IT and supply chain aspects. Right after finishing the set up in Romania, I went in another subsidiary in Tunisia to reproduce the same organization in order to boost the plant efficiency. Key achievements: «Pull» method implementation - Strict Cost controlling - KPI monitoring and immediate remediation plan - WIP management - ERP SIGIP roll out. |

I was part of the gold exploration division and acting as the West Africa Financial controller. My major tasks was to manage the finance department of 8 explorations entities through out the West Africa region (Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Niger, Ghana) After 5 years in West Africa I moved to a base metal mine project in Morocco where we were doing exploration and exploitation. Key achievements: Appraisal and due diligence of pre-licence agreement - Cost Controlling set up - Writing of the Finance policies and procedures manual - Long term business plan and modelling. |
