MAKING MY DREAM COME TRUE

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Jan 2020 - Aujourd'hui

Skipper of a sailing boat across the Atlantic

I selected a 42 feet catamaran, formed a crew of 5, and prepared the safety, navigational and medical aspects in order to participate to a sailing race, the Atlantic Rallye for Cruisers between Gran Canaria and Sta Lucia in the Caribbean. Beyond the technical, sporting and leadership challenge, it was also an opportunity for me to support 2 causes: helping young disadvantaged people and reducing plastic waste. We collected 50,000 euros for a non-profit organization, Life Project 4 Youth, for Youth in extreme poverty. We sailed 8 weeks with no plastic water bottles on board thanks to the water purifier of a biotechnological startup LAVIE.BIO and saved 300 bottles, or 12kg of plastic waste.
