Reported to the MD UK & part of the UK Board of Directors. Part of Europe Snack Group leadership team.

Lead the design and implementation of the company NPD & Innovation strategy.

Delivered effective Innovation Project Management and Product Portfolio optimisation.

Contributed to the integration of the UK business within the Group following recent M&A.

Created synergies with the R&D teams in France and Spain to maximise business wide opportunities for new products, new packaging and new technologies, focussing on exceeding Customers and Consumers expectations.

• Stabilised the Organisation of the NPD & Innovation department
• Designed & implemented the Product & Packaging NPD stage & gate process
• Launched the company wide Innovation activity cycle
• Led the Innovation & NPD team and helped recruit for the permanent Head of department.

Reporting to the CFO and Executive member of the Board of Directors. The role is to lead the Group Quality Assurance department & strategy for the European region.

• Completed an Organisation Design (OD) proposal for the QA & Technical function and prepared the implementation plan as part of the wider business OD
• Designed and launched a comprehensive QA & Technical performance scorecard, providing visibility at Board level and enabling full integration within the top line KPI dashboard at Group level (worldwide)
• Led incidents and crisis resolutions and improved internal cross-functional procedures to prevent re-occurrence

Responsible for the technical management of 12 manufacturing partners (outsource model) across Europe and Thailand.

• Co-led the on-boarding of a new manufacturing partner in only 9 weeks’ time
• Redesigned and launched a comprehensive technical performance scorecard, enabling pro-active and in depth technical management across innocent manufacturer network
• Reorganising and expanding the Technical department to support the continuing rapid business growth (20% year on year)
• Launched positive engagement with pan European manufacturing partners to embrace innocent values and innocent consumers insight, promoting product quality and brand health & well-being positioning

Reporting to the CEO and Executive member of the Board of Directors. The role was to design the 3 year strategic plan for the company R&D and Technical functions in order to support the International growth plan of the business. Responsible for £1.3m budget and multidisciplinary teams: Product, Process, Research, Technical & Customer Care, plus overseeing Genius 3rd party technical teams.

• Delivered £11.3m additional NSV over 2014-2015 following the launch of 18 new products
• Designed and implemented Genius NPD Stage & Gate process
• Reduced consumer complaints by 20% in first 12 months
• Reorganised the Technical department to drive Quality Branded position and established solid platform to build upon Operations and Technical expertise, to support rapid business growth
• Led technical validation & due diligence to enable business acquisition and suppliers expansion
• Launched new initiatives with the Customer Care team to integrate the “Voice of the consumer” throughout the organisation (media, monthly reports, direct contact with consumers)

Reporting to the Manufacturing Director. The role was to design and implement the UK Ops Quality Strategy and to lead the Quality & Food safety agenda across all nine UK manufacturing sites. Key responsibilities included to drive a culture change in order to embed a strategic Quality mind-set across the organisation and to host customer audits (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda, etc), ensuring compliance to BRC standard.

• Launched a company-wide campaign “Our journey together towards Quality excellence”, supported by the CEO and created a short video
• Used influence skills to guide all Ops BU Managers and their respective QA Managers to launch Quality improvement projects to reduce Consumer complaints
• Led the design of Quality KPI scorecard and worked actively with all BU teams to reduce the Cost of non-Quality (new KPI) by £0.5m in 2013
• Set cross-functional working groups to design Technical Training modules and Personal development plans, whilst initiating Process development task forces to improve manufacturing process consistency
• Moved to Unannounced BRC audit scheme (optional at the time); coached all QA Managers across 9 UK manufacturing sites to achieve A* Grade.
